25-Point Amazon Listing Audit Checklist

Work through every checkpoint — tick them off as you go. Print it or save it and re-run quarterly.

Title (5)

Under 200 characters and within your category's style guide — no promo phrases like "best seller" or "hot". Primary keyword in the first 80 characters — front-load what shoppers actually search. Readable by a human — title case, no keyword stuffing, no ALL CAPS walls. Key attributes included — brand, size/count, color, material, quantity where relevant. No competitor trademarks anywhere in the title.

Images (5)

Minimum 6 images uploaded — hero, lifestyle, infographic, dimensions, comparison chart, brand story. Hero on pure white background (RGB 255,255,255), product filling ~85% of frame. 2000px+ on the longest side so zoom works. Infographic calls out 3–5 key benefits in text overlays — most shoppers never read bullets. No text-heavy or blurry images; lifestyle shots show the product in real use.

Bullets & A+ Content (5)

5 benefit-led bullets, each starting with the benefit (not the feature), under ~200 characters. No keyword stuffing in bullets — natural language that a buyer would say out loud. A+ Content published (Brand Registered sellers) with at least 4 modules incl. comparison chart. Alt text / image keywords set on A+ images where the option exists. Consistent claims — bullets, A+ and images all agree on specs and quantities.

Pricing & Reviews (5)

Competitive landed price checked against the top 5 competitors this week. Buy Box eligible and winning — check price, fulfillment method and seller metrics. Rating at 4.0+ stars; any listing under 3.8 gets a review-rescue plan before ad spend. Review velocity steady — aim for consistent new reviews, not spikes. Top 3 negative review themes answered — via listing updates or seller responses.

Backend & PPC Health (5)

Backend search terms filled — 249 bytes, no repeats, no commas needed, no brand names you don't own. Intended-use / target-audience fields completed in the listing backend. Auto + manual campaigns structured — exact/phrase/broad separated, branded terms isolated. Weekly search-term review — negate waste, harvest converters into exact match. ACOS vs. target checked per ASIN — every ad dollar tied to a margin you actually keep (see our ACOS guide).
